Valentine’s Baking Competition

 

Get out your cake cutters and get your heart shaped pans …it’s time to get serious about baking for Valentine’s Day this year!

North Country Kids is hosting a fundraising Valentine’s themed baking competition this year for the first time. The entries will be judged on design by some local celebrity judges including Tom Richards (Harbor Springs City Manager), Scott Herceg (Executive Director of Harbor Springs Chamber of Commerce) and Cathy Lavender (Woolly Bugger and Cup Cakery Owner).

If you would like to enter then you will need to bring four cupcakes, four cookies or a cake to North Country Kids by Friday February 10^th at noon. The entry must be decorated in a Valentine theme, covered and on a plate. The winners will receive a certificate, with first, second and third place for each category.

All the entries will be sold by silent auction closing at 1pm on Monday February 13^th at North Country Kids. The entries will be on display for silent auction at the Harbor Springs IGA 11am-1pm on Saturday February 11^th, and at Holy Childhood Church 9.30-12 noon Sunday February 12^th. On Monday all the entries will be on display for final bidding at North Country Kids, Fairview Square, 930 State Road, Harbor Springs.

We are hoping for a fun competition with plenty of creative entries.

Nub's Cubs is now open and ready to share some fun with your children while you ski. It is a beautiful daycare with some wonderful staff that have activities planned for every age group.
