Ready, Steady, Bake…..

We are really looking forward to Valentine’s Day this year and we have decided to go full-steam ahead with some exciting new ideas!

We will be selling our traditional carnations for $1/stem and they really brighten up the daycare so we love to be a florist for a day.

Nancy Gurney and Judy Cummings have come up with some new ideas for a series of community bake sales AND a Valentine’s Day baking competition. We will have a silent auction for the competition entries at all the bake sales, final bidding time is Monday Feb 13^th at 1pm. The bake sales and silent auctions will take place at:

• Harbor Springs IGA on Saturday Feb. 11^th 11am-1pm
• Holy Childhood Church on Sunday Feb. 12^th 9.30am-12noon
• North Country Kids on Monday 13^th and Tuesday 14^th Feb. 7am-6pm

We will also be selling Valentine’s Day themed craft items at the daycare and donations are very welcome!

If you would be willing and able to make baked goods for the sale and maybe enter the competition then please go ahead and bring your items in by noon on Friday February 10^th.

We hope this will be a memorable Valentine’s Day for everyone involved!

We have been very fortunate in recent weeks to have Zoo Crew classroom painted, and a new display board and a blackboard in Zoo Crew. The Great Room has new play equipment and the children are loving it! Thanks to everyone who helps make our continual improvements possible.
