Educational Philosophy
High Quality Education from Birth to Age 5
We believe that young children learn best when they feel comfortable and secure, through actual experience using a variety of senses.
We believe that young children learn those things that are most important to them at the moment and when activities are carefully sequenced and when they have the opportunity to fully explore and experiment with materials and ideas.
We believe that children progress at their own rate and utilize play to translate experience into understanding. North Country Kids Child Care Children’s emotional well-being is supported and respected in a positive and encouraging climate. Children are supported individually and sensitively based on their developmental and emotional needs. Shared laughter, conversation and affection are part of the every day loving and caring climate. Children are supported to become self-reliant and competent as they explore and use classroom resources. Children’s accomplishments are recognized, shared and celebrated regularly. The varied and rich curriculum is carefully planned to suit each age group and the individual abilities of the children. Stop-in and visit—we love to meet kids and families living in our community or visiting from afar! We are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
